Next week we will be entering Scorpio season. I am a Scorpio.
Let’s be real – it’s the coolest sign. It’s definitely got the best name.
Say it with me: Scorpiooo. It doesn’t roll off the tongue so much as it whips then slithers.
When the writers on General Hospital were creating a hunky, Australian detective to play Luke Spencer’s wingman, you know someone around that table (probably born between 10/23 and 11/21) said, “I know! Let’s name him Robert Scorpio!”

Or when Rudolf Schenker wanted a bitchin’ name for his new band, he looked no further when he thought of Scorpions.

I’m not all woo-woo about astrology, but I do find the Scorpio personality traits to be true for myself. Uncanny, really.
It could be that hearing the descriptors all my life have molded me into this, but I can’t remember a time when I didn’t feel exactly like what is explained here:
Key Strengths
Passionate & Determined: When a Scorpio sets a goal, they pursue it relentlessly with unmatched focus and discipline.
Ask me about any of my home improvement projects.
Intuitively Perceptive: Acting like human lie detectors, they read hidden motives, pick up on subtext, and see through superficiality.
It’s a little scary, actually.

Fiercely Loyal: They offer deep, unwavering protection and devotion to the people who earn their trust.
Key word – EARN.
Resourceful & Brave: They are comfortable facing crisis, grief, and taboo topics that others avoid.
This hasn’t always been the case but I’ve gotten there.
Key Weaknesses
Secretive & Suspicious: They hold their cards close to the chest and can struggle with paranoia or doubting others’ intentions.
Yeah. Skepticism is the name of my game.
Jealous & Possessive: Their craving for absolute intimacy can turn into a need for control.
Who me? Never 🙈
Vindictive & Resentful: Because betrayal wounds them deeply, they have a long memory for slights and can hold grudges.
I can’t stand Will Smith, especially for what he did to one of my favorites, Chris Rock, but I understood what he meant when he yelled, “Keep my wife’s name out your mouth!”
If I hear you mentioned me or someone I love in a negative way, I’m done with you. We could be fine, even best friends one day, and the next you’ll be wondering what happened without a word from me. Explain why I’m mad? Nope.
Stubborn: As a fixed sign, they resist changing their minds once they commit to a perspective.
I can hold a grudge foreverrr. And a day.
These traits are why I wear the Scorpio badge loud and proud. Even the negatives seem like positives to me.
It’s basically saying that Scorpios don’t suffer fools gladly – and I’m 100% ok with that.
Happy Scorpio season to all who celebrate! 🦂
