No child left behind, right?

🎶 I believe the children are our future…🎶

So do I Whitney, so do I.

🎶 Teach them well and let them lead the way…🎶

Agreed ✅

🎶 Show them all the beauty they possess inside…🎶

Right? All children need to be told how wonderfully unique they are!

🎶 Give them a sense of pride.. to make it easier…🎶

Just looking into a child’s eyes and having real conversations with them can instill that their opinion matters and that they matter.

🎶 Let the children’s laughter.. remind us how we used to be. 🎶

Seriously! Listen to them and have fun. Stop being such a serious adult all the time and just try to understand them!

🎶 I decided long ago, never to walk in anyone’s shadow. If I fail, if I succeed, at least I lived as I believed. No matter what they take from me, they can’t take away my dignity……

Because the greatest love of all… is happening to me… I found the greatest love inside of me. 🎶

That’s great Whitney, but what if you don’t have someone who is a positive role model who builds your confidence?

🎶 Everybody’s searching for a hero. People need someone to look up to. I never found anyone who fulfilled that need… a lonely place to be, so I learned to depend on me. 🎶

Well that’s just sad. I’m glad you found the confidence within yourself, but not everyone has the mental capacity to do that. Everyone needs someone. Life is too hard to do on your own. Especially for a child.

If a student enters school and it’s obvious that their parents don’t care about them (never showing up for an open house, a curriculum night, a parent/teacher conference, never available by phone, not checking on their child’s progress, etc.) there should be a policy in place to flag that student and have someone, a support staff member, a volunteer, a partnering group within the community that specializes in this type of situation, SOMEONE, ANYONE, to tell that child that they matter!!

Imagine being a kid growing up in this world and not having someone who will let them know that it’s all going to be ok?

What a scary place to be.

And it can’t be put on the teachers. They need to teach the class and they can’t give these kids the undivided attention they deserve.

Recently I’ve been trying to get in touch with people to help be the change I want to see. I’m certainly no expert and I’ve inadvertently stepped on some toes. But it’s ONLY because I care. If the things I’m asking about are in place and I’m just not aware – tell me! If I make a mistake I apologize and ask more questions, but I’m going to continue … no matter how intimidating someone might try to be toward me.

And if by chance that special place…that you’ve been dreaming of…. leads you to a lonely place, find your strength in love… 🎶

Nope, no child should be lonely and not have support. And that’s why I’m not going away. Sorry.
