To each their own.

I am very well-aware that I’m going to offend someone with this post but I’m sorry, this has to be said.

Here’s a little story:

Last night, on September 30th there was a commercial for “holiday scents”. I don’t even know what it was for because I wasn’t paying attention, but then PJ exclaims, “Holiday scents! It’s not even October!”

These thoughts appeared in my mind and slipped right from my lips, “Ugh don’t be one of those people 🙄 IT’S TOO EARLY! AGHHH! IT’S NOT EVEN OCTOBERRR!!!” in my most mocking voice. “It’s so boring.”

I haven’t thought much about this before. Actually, I’ve even been the person exclaiming it in the past.

But why? Who caressssss?

I always went along with the herd and said, “Come on! Christmas stuff in the stores already??”

But the last time I went to Lowe’s and saw it on display IN THE FRONT OF THE STORE BEFORE HALLOWEEN EVEN HAPPENED and my natural reaction was to be bothered by it, I instead said to myself, “Who cares? Maybe some people want to buy this overpriced, unnecessary shit early so they can be prepared 🤷🏻‍♀️” And then I went on to buy some other overpriced, unnecessary shit for my own home.

This post can really turn into a “Live and let live” and “To each their own”, preachy post but I’m going to keep it short and shallow (like me, lol) and just ask that you not be that person. It’s so boring.

If I can say this to PJ, I can say it to you too. And just like PJ, you can choose to ignore me, roll your eyes, and continue to say it just to annoy me.

To each their own ♥️

I am committed to celebrating any holiday whenever I want. The dates are all arbitrary anyways
