I have this one friend (yes, after what I’m going to write, you’re not going to believe that I still call him a friend, but idk there are some people that act so ridiculously that you just can’t believe they’re being serious and they must just be busting your chops like old friends do). Well this friend wrote in the comment section of my WHITE PRIVILEGE blog entry that my friends and I think we’re “woke” but we’re not.

The poor thing thinks that just because we want equal treatment under the law for all, that we consider ourselves to be trendy and “woke”.

Let’s all say a little prayer for him 🙏

He’s the BIGGEST Trump supporter I’ve ever seen, and trust me, I’ve seen some pretty BIGLY Trump supporters. YUGE even.

And like many other Trump supporters I’ve seen lately, I think he’s so scared that his main man is going to lose in November, that he’s doing Hail Marys all over the place by insulting others’ ideals in a last ditch effort to sway them to his side – just like his Lord and Savior President Donald J. Trump would do.

Apparently, wanting everyone in our country to receive equal justice under the law is a lot to ask. A crazy, novel idea in this cuckoo bananas world.

And I know others feel the same way he does. All us crazy woke people, I swear!

Well I’m about to hit them with a woke-bomb that will make them drop to their knees and scream like that girl in the street when Trump won in 2016.

Not only do I support Black Lives Matter, but I support the LBGTQ+ community too!!!!!

How woke is that???!!!

And it gets worse!

When I talk to my boys about their futures, I say things like, “When you grow up and fall in love with your wife or husband …”

Wait, what? 😳

Yes, you read that right. I normalize the fact that one (or all) of them may fall in love with a man.

Why do I do this, you ask?

Because I grew up in a world where all these macho-men, tough guys acted like if you weren’t insulting and bitching out a woman, then you were a pussy.

And the idea of being gay was never even brought up, because all the boys knew that if you even ever thought about it, your father would probably smack you in the mouth, rip you up from the kitchen table by your hair, and beat the shit out of you in your bedroom.

That’s being a REAL man, don’t ya know?!

Maybe it’s because my Dad didn’t act that way, or maybe it’s because I’ve witnessed that abuse one too many times with my own eyes (and it’s disgusting), but my boys will never know that kind of fear.

They will know that they can come to us with ANYTHING and we will always love and respect them.

It’s about time that the people who are still trying to win the love and approval of their daddies “woke” up and realized that being hate-filled is not a good way to live.

I know that sounds very Freudian. Luckily I have my degree in AP – armchair psychology.

But it’s true isn’t it? Think of all the die-hard Trump supporters you know. Then think about the relationship they have with their dads.
