A lot has changed since the last time we chatted. Well I should say, the last time I chatted and you listened – thank you, btw!

I’m sure PJ thanks you too. Staying home during the pandemic has made it so that if he has to hear one more story or rant from me he’s going to lose his mind.

He never actually said that, but he definitely used to be better at hiding his disinterest. Let’s just say that his, “I’m listening” look has been going away faster than the mask of someone who doesn’t believe COVID-19 is really a “thing” 🙄😡

As soon as I start telling him one of my theories, he does a not-so-subtle side-eye to the right, as if he’s telling me I need to exit stage left.

* RIP to Nick Cordero, the Broadway actor who just died from COVID-19 at the age of 41 with no underlying issues, but yeah, it’s not really a thing 💔 🎭

Here we go …

Kanye just announced he’s running for President. Many people were shocked when they heard. Some thought it was a joke or publicity stunt, but then quickly remembered that Donald “the guy from The Apprentice” Trump, threw his hat in the ring and won.

I’ll be honest, I’m not upset, and if he runs I think he will win.

Usually when I write a blog about a famous figure, I do a little fact checking so I don’t look like a moron. For this one, I’m not going to look to the internet, I’m just going to use my personal observations of Kanye West.

There’s no denying the man is brilliant. I can feel so many of you scoffing at that, but it’s true. He started out as a rapper and morphed into a billionaire. His clothing line, Yeezy, is basically a homeless man’s wardrobe and he’s got people clamoring and paying a fortune for it.

He’s a master of publicity and manipulation. I’m convinced that he, Taylor Swift, and Beyoncé were in cahoots when he grabbed the mic and said Beyoncé should’ve won best video at the MTV Music Awards years ago.

Just like I believe Jay-Z & Beyoncé have THE most solid marriage in Hollywood, and the storyline for Beyoncé’s Lemonade was all a publicity stunt to get people talking – I believe everything Kanye does is orchestrated. Same goes for Taylor Swift. Four absolute geniuses in my book.

Besides the T-Swift, Beyoncé “kerfuffle”, remember when he stood up at the Hurricane Katrina benefit and famously said, “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”? Mike Myers was standing next to him and I’ll never forget the look on his face 😳 😂 My point is, when Kanye wants the spotlight and attention, he gets it. It’s a good type of power to have, and if he uses it for good and not evil, it could make him a great President.

People were so upset back when he announced he was a Trump supporter. That makes more sense to me than the 99% of the people I know who support Trump. Why? Because he actually IS in the 1%. Who benefits the most from Trump’s presidency? The 1%.

I respected when he came out and said he supported Trump. The divisive media forces these Democrat/Republican narratives down everyone’s throats and if you stray from what they tell you to say or do, you’re wrong.

I don’t even believe he fully supported Trump when he announced it, but by donning that bright red, “Make America Great Again” hat, he showed everyone “Look! I make up my own mind, you can too!”

Even when he went to rehab for opioid addiction, he could’ve kept quiet and let people speculate. Instead he put it all out there and brought attention to the opioid crisis in America.

He’s also spoken about his mental health, which to me, is the biggest issue in America that no one wants to focus on because it’s too hard to fix.

I believe he has a big heart and his cold, never-smiling persona is all an act. It was no secret that Kanye adored his mother. When she died from complications due to anesthesia during plastic surgery, he didn’t hide his grief. He wore it on his sleeve and I just wanted to hug him.

My armchair psychiatrist degree tells me that if he did in fact spiral, and it wasn’t all an act, his mother’s death was the root cause. He was grieving.

And when so many people see Kim and Kanye as a bizarre couple who give their children strange names and have no furniture in their house, I see them as two people who found love in a crazy world and created a beautiful family together. And come on, don’t tell me North West isn’t an awesome name.

You may be thinking, that’s all well and good, but how will he be a good President if he knows nothing about politics? Hmmm, well that’s quite a conundrum for all the Trump supporters isn’t it? You can’t use the “he knows nothing about politics” reasoning now can you? 🤔

I see a successful, free-thinking businessman who goes against the grain and tells it like it is. Sounds EXACTLY like Trump to me 👍🏻 🇺🇸

And for all the people saying, “Anyone but Trump!” Well … here he is 😃
