Let’s go back to when things were easier…
When we pledged our allegiance to one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
When things were true and real.
When everyone worshipped one God, my God.
When everyone had a fair shake at justice.
You remember, right? Back when it was easier.
When I could turn on the TV and see people who looked like ME all the time. Now I turn on the news and every story is about people who don’t look like me!
I don’t even know what to call people anymore. He, she, them, they … can we just go back to a time when things weren’t so confusing for me?
Or when I could call people whatever I wanted without offending them. Everyone is sooo sensitive nowadays 🙄
When I was a kid, if you acted up in class teachers could paddle you to get you to comply. Then you’d be sent home so your father could beat the hell out of you too. That would teach these kids respect! They’re too damn soft nowadays.
If we treated them the same way now, maybe they wouldn’t grow up to be adults who don’t listen to authority and deserve to get shot in the street! If they would’ve just listened, they wouldn’t have gotten shot … so they deserve to die 🤷🏻♀️
We’re not going to have any law enforcement left if we keep holding cops accountable for shooting someone dead while their hands are empty.
I don’t get it. Why are people angry over a kid getting shot to death when he was obviously up to no good? His hands were empty but, I mean, it was 2:30am. Where were his parents? I was never out at 2:30 in the morning! What was he doing? He deserved to die.
No respect anymore. In my day EVERYONE was respectful of police. A billy club smack to the mouth for disrespect was a cure for that. Then drive them home so their fathers could beat the hell out of them too. That’s the sure fire way to raise a normal, healthy adult.
And it wasn’t all on social media. Thank God for that! Social media is the downfall of our society. Before, we could hide it all away and no one was exposed or held accountable for bending the law ever so slightly to get that respect they deserve.
Speaking of deserving it…
Let’s go back to a time when girls kept their legs closed. It’s not my son’s fault if a girl is dressed like a slut. After all, boys will be boys, right? I mean, locker room talk is normal. It’s these girls nowadays who are asking for it. Most of them are lying to get attention anyway.
I remember a dad of one of these poor, accused boys say that his son’s life shouldn’t be ruined because of a few moments of action behind a dumpster with some girl who was asking for it … while she was passed out. I can’t think of the young man’s name. It was Bill or Bud… oh wait, no, it was Brock Turner. He’s out of jail now after being convicted of raping a girl behind a dumpster while she was unconscious. But his dad was right! Why should his life be ruined?! Thank God they were able to afford a good lawyer!
This is only one of the reasons I fear for our children in this world. Imagine poor Brock sat rotting away in a prison when he had so much to offer the world?
Not like all those drug dealers who are locked up for 20+ years for selling marijuana! Those drug dealers are what’s wrong with the world, not a promising young man who just wanted a couple of minutes of action.
Speaking of marijuana, I hear it’s legal in some states now?! What is wrong with this world?! Terrible. Those people who spent all that time in jail for selling it though, they still deserved that jail time – they were breaking the law! They should just keep all of them in there, because now they’re going to be released out into the streets to commit more crimes! Thank God I have my guns!
That’s what we need – more guns to protect ourselves! And yet they’re trying to take that away from us too! Who’s going to protect our homes when there’s no law enforcement and no guns anymore??!!
How will our children be safe without guns? God and guns – that’s what we need! I know places of employment are being shot up everyday, but that’s just the news and social media.
Trying to put laws into place to make guns a little less accessible is futile! Criminals will still get their hands on guns, so why even try? It’s all a ruse to take away our freedom anyway.
Speaking of guns… it’s like playing Russian roulette sending my kids to school these days. Where are the parents of the bad kids?? Just smack some sense into them and they won’t steal your gun and shoot up a school – it’s as easy as that!
We don’t need dumb laws about background checks and waiting periods. If I want a gun I should be able to go to the store and get one right away. Just like every other person I know – stable or not – because that’s our 2nd amendment right!
If my child gets shot at school, I will feel exactly the same way! If my husband goes to work and gets his head blown off by a disgruntled co-worker and spends his last few moments of life hiding under a desk in fear – so be it. It’s worth it to have my rights in all their unhindered and unrestricted glory!
Sigh… I just wish we could go back to when things were easier.
