Abortion.

I started going to church online. I feel like I needed something else in these batshit crazy times. I usually identify as “spiritual” but the more I’ve been going to (watching) the church I’ve chosen, the more I realize I actually do identify as a Christian.

However, I was watching church today and I hit a road-block. The pastor was talking about how if you live your life the way God and Jesus would, then you are pro-life. Pro-life in the way of caring about how all of our brothers and sisters are treated; that you do not believe in euthanasia in any way, shape or form because life and death is for God to decide; and that you should stand up for and care for children in need. The pastor went on to say how grateful he was for the parishioners and the people of the world who adopt and foster children. I agree with all of this.

Except…

How many people do you know who open their hearts and homes to children that are not of their own blood? I know some, but the number of children in the system who are unwanted, far outweigh the number of people who are actually adopting and fostering them.

This is one of the reasons I’m pro-choice. Unless you’re going to pay for the medical care of the woman who is having a baby by her uncle who raped her, and then promise to adopt it and raise it for the rest of it’s life, you really don’t have a say.

You may argue, “But most abortions are had by women who use it as a form of birth control because they’re irresponsible.”

How do you know?

No one knows the true number of abortions performed when so many are done in secret. And I’m not talking about the shady kind, (Ok, with this serious topic I was trying really hard to not bring up Dirty Dancing, but it’s a perfect example.) Let me start again… I’m not talking about the shady kind like when Penny got her abortion in Dirty Dancing and Dr. Houseman saved her from dying, I’m talking about all the “Christian” politicians who scream from their podiums that they’re pro-life; preaching about how killing babies is wrong, but then they send their mistresses off to their doctor friends to do a hush-hush abortion so it doesn’t mess up their lives or careers.

Well, not always that specific, per se, but you get my point that safe abortions will always be there for the trust fund babies whose parents don’t want them ruining their first year at Harvard.

Hmm … I guess that was pretty specific too 🤔

What I’m trying to say is that RICH PEOPLE WILL ALWAYS HAVE ACCESS TO SAFE ABORTIONS AND THEY WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE THEM. JUST LIKE THEY ALWAYS DO WHATEVER THEY WANT ALL THE TIME EVEN IF IT’S AGAINST THE LAW.

Sorry, I’ve just finished watching Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich and I’m angry.

I personally have never had an abortion and for all intents and purposes would not have one. Luckily, I was never faced with that decision. But one can never predict what will happen to them, can they?

What if I’m leaving the mall one day and a man jumps out, pulls me into the parking garage, rapes me, and impregnates me? Then I’m faced with the decision. I can’t say for sure that I’m having that baby. Please don’t lie and say you’re sure that you would or wouldn’t.

No one knows what women have gone through except for THEMSELVES.

It is a PERSONAL choice. It is not something that should be up for debate in government.

To overturn Roe v. Wade would be to hand your body over to these disgustingly hypocritical men and women (but mostly men) in government who would now make decisions on YOUR behalf for YOUR body. It will start with abortion and slowly trickle down to all aspects regarding YOUR BODY. It will never stop abortions from happening. It will just make it unsafe for the poor, while the rich continue doing it safely.

To summarize. I am pro-life for myself. I am pro-choice for the world. Please don’t base your political affiliation on such a very PERSONAL decision. It should never have been in the hands of the government in the first place.
