There’s another man.

Ok, if I were a reader of my blog instead of a writer of my blog, I’d most likely be rolling my eyes by now thinking, “We get it, she loves her husband 🙄 He’s a great dad 🙄 Did she really tell us she wanted to ‘jump his bones’ last time? 😳🙄 Yes, we know he makes her laugh everyday 🙄”

But the truth is, there’s someone else. Another man who makes me laugh everyday. He’s a widower to a funny, beautiful woman named Anne. He’s got a daughter named Amy and a son named Ben. His aliases are Frank and Arthur.

The other man in my life is Jerry Stiller and he makes me laugh until my stomach hurts.

If you haven’t noticed, the TV is pretty much always on in the Petti home. (Oh stop your judging 🙄) And every day, including weekends, day or night, you can always find an episode of Seinfeld or King of Queens. Seinfeld as a whole is my favorite show ever and that’s partially because of Frank Costanza. I mean: Festivus, the Manzier and Serenity Now all stand on their own without explanation. But the subtle (or maybe not so subtle) characteristics of Arthur Spooner on The King of Queens have me belly-laughing every single day.

I love The King of Queens. I love what a bitch Carrie is. I love Doug and Deacon’s relationship. My 2 favorite episodes are 1. When Deacon tells Doug that his pre-dinner Whopper was always a disgusting habit and 2. The one when Deacon and Kelly give the Heffernans a painting of them and Carrie’s arm is huge and Doug has rabbit teeth 😂

But Arthur… without Carrie’s dad, Arthur Spooner, the show would shine a whole lot less. The way he throws his head back and looks at the ceiling before making a grand announcement; how he refers to Doug and Spence as “Douglas” and “Spencer” when no one else does; how he gets “walked” everyday by dog-walker and friend, Holly; how he tries to get Lou Ferrigno to go along with his schemes, including badgering him to produce his screenplay “Reconsidering Sandy” 😂

It’s all comic gold and no one else can do it better than Jerry Stiller 😍
