I talk a lot about people I think are hot other than my husband: Post Malone, Shakira, Mary’s blind then not blind husband on LHOTP, James Franco, Wilmer Flores (I also love him because he’s a man who’s not afraid to show his emotions and his favorite TV show is Friends and it’s how he learned to speak English), Benicio Del Toro, Ryan Gosling, etc., etc., etc., etc., etc…

It never dawned on me that people might think this is disrespectful to my husband. I guess it’s because:

1. He’s a grown-ass man who isn’t insecure because I didn’t have my eyes sewn shut the day he put a ring on it.

2. He knows Benicio reminds me of him.

3. I know when HE’S got the hots for someone other than me.

The difference is he doesn’t come right out and tell me (or everyone else in the world like I do) but I know him so well that I just knowww. And when I know, I call him out on it and he acts all weird and smirks and still won’t admit it … but I know.

In one of our favorite movies, National Lampoon’s Vacation, Clark Griswold is caught skinny-dipping in the hotel pool with Christie Brinkley (this scene has prompted me to stand on the edge of many pools clapping my hands together and chanting “This is crazy…this is crazy…this is crazy…”, but I digress), and when he goes back to his room and his wife Ellen sadly asks, “Do you think she’s pretty, Clark?” He said, “Who? The pool waitress? Nooo, she’s ugly!”

That is exactly what PJ acts like. So now whenever I ask if he thinks someone is hot, like say, Chrissie Teigen, (I’m positive he wants to kick John Legend’s ass and run off into the sunset with her), he says, “Noooo, she’s ugly!”

Other women he has called “ugly” are:

Zoey Deschanel, Scarlett Johansson, the girl in the new show The Bone Collector that looks like a straight up runway model but she’s supposed to be a tough cop so they put her hair in a messy ponytail and call it a day, Shakira, Gal Gadot, and many, many other beautiful women we come across in our daily life.

So although he’s not blatantly saying it like I do, he’s not exactly hiding it either. Not only is it normal and funny, but I get an ego boost when he lies straight through his teeth and tells me I’m prettier than them all 🥰
